A Message From Josie-Tatum's Mama

In November, I led our church in adoption/orphan awareness activities. Josie-Tatum watched intently as I previewed videos and brochures. She was moved to find out how she could help with questions like, "Mama, what can we do to help orphans?" and "Mama, where can we go to help orphans?"

As I sought to encourage her compassion, a door was opened for us to join Servant's House Ministries on a trip to South Africa in July. This is Josie-Tatum's story, her opportunity to share with you what the LORD speaks to her.

  3. Josie-Tatum,
I am so glad you are going to Africa with us! I can hardly wait to go! I have a challenge for you! It costs $584 a year to sponsor an orphan to go to the school we will be visiting. Challenge the adult Sunday School classes at your church to sponsor an orphan! My Sunday School class is sponsoring a child and so is our orphan ministry. Can you get a sponsor? We will be able to take pictures of our orphans when we go visit! I'm praying for you and all of us! Ms. Brenda

  6. Josie-Tatum. Good for you! I have adopted 5 children who were orphans. Jacob, Kaley, Sam, Luke and Zoe. Zoe is from China like you. We also find things to do to help orphans. We just got back from taking things to China and we are headed to Africa too! So it sounds like your family and my family are a lot alike.

    Keep up the good work!
